National guidelines

One of the aims of the SAVeRS project, and its Work Package 1, is to collect, review and collate National guidelines, requirements and standards for the location and provision of Vehicle Restraint Systems (safety barriers, parapets, terminals, transitions, crash cushions and truck mounted attenuators).  The map shows (in green) those countries where the requirements have been obtained.  However we currently do not have the requirements for the countries shown in red.

If you have a copy of the requirements for any of those countries shown in red, please send them to Gavin Williams (gwilliams@trl.co.uk) or Ceki Erginbas (cerginbas@trl.co.uk) at TRL who are responsible for the collection of this data.

This is a very important exercise, and YOU can help to improve roadside safety.
